Once upon a time we were lucky enough to get a booking at El Celler de Can Roca. We knew little about the place, and this was our truly first experience of the avant garde of the modern cuisine. It’s hard to describe the impact it had on us, the uninitiated. We were blown away by the food, the techniques, the flavours, the wine paring, and how this whole experience worked together as a perfect orchestra. And this is how our quest has started.
Since then we have been to a few places all over the world: Noma, Osteria Francescana, Enigma, Tickets, White Rabbit, Mirazur, Saam, Trois Mec – just to name a few. Some of them became our favourites and we keep coming back for more!
People often ask us for recommendations. And that’s the motivation behind this website – to share our experience and to tell you about the places we visited. All descriptions and opinions expressed on this site are our own, and so are the photos of the food and restaurants, with a small exception of stock pictures of spices and lemons. 🙂
